Opportunity to respond to CFIA's risk assessment on the importation of honey bees.

In April of this year the OBA submitted a letter to CFIA stating our case against opening the Canadian border to package bees from the United States. You can find our letter and their response as well as the recent report here. We encourage all beekeepers to support this finding by sending an email to AHRA-ARSA@inspection.gc.ca stating your concern about American pests such as Small Hive Beetle and Africanized Honey Bees, as well as their mite treatment resistant bees and Colony Collapse.
